BIOGRAPHY

Janet Houts entered into the quilting world 10 years ago as the Graphic Arts Editor for QUILT Magazine. She was responsible for the magazine illustrations and designed many quilts for publication. Presently, she concentrates on her personal art quilts and designs quilts for textile companies, including Blank Textiles, Island Batiks, Kona Bay, Sullivan Fabrics and Robert Kaufman. Her skills include illustrating and writing patterns for these quilts as well.

Janet and her husband Steven reside in the Sun Valley area of Idaho, where she receives much of her inspiration from the beautiful natural surroundings.
